Level 3 AET is a direct replacement course for the Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) course.

Level 3 Award in Education and Training or PTLLS Course are for those who work, or want to work as teachers/trainers in the further education and skills sector. Level 3 Award in Education and Training AET / PTLLS course has been designed to give the opportunity for people to get into the teaching and training industry. You can do the Level 3 Award in Education and Training AET course at our Harlow venue or via Distance Learning Online option.

This AET qualification replaces the old PTLLS course in 2011. Certifying people to teach at a nationally accredited standard. You can easily complete this qualification through Distance Learning or Online in your own time at home in the class at our nationwide venues.

Course Overview:
The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is an introduction to teaching that will give an insight into the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training, how to plan and deliver inclusive teaching sessions and how to assess and give constructive feedback. This qualification is delivered through our online platform or classroom based session with full tutor support throughout the course. The course materials can be accessed from anywhere through the student portal. Entry Requirement:
The entry requirement for AET or PTLLS Course are the basic functional skills (Numeracy, Literacy, ICT). 
How does it works?
This course can be done either in the 3 days classroom or Online or Distance Learning method. Our Online or Distance Learning is a great option for anyone wishing to get qualified using our self study method with tutor support. All necessary materials will be sent to you the log in details of the portal once you have booked the course. You will be given up to 12 weeks to complete the assignments. However you do not need to wait for up to 12 weeks, if you finish earlier, your certificate will be awarded early. Learners need to plan their 15 minute micro teach lesson ready to deliver it on the last day of the class and even it can be done via video record and send along with your portfolio.. You need to do 1 day micro-teach on your chosen topic. During the micro teach, you will be observed by other delegates. However you need to design a session plan, PowerPoint presentation, hand-outs etc in your industry or subjects. 
After the classroom days learners will have few weeks to complete their essays at home / work and send them off for marking.
